Vintage Kaishu marked blue and white rice eyes porcelain platter. It is hand painted decorated with a five clawed dragon motif waves and bats. It has translucent rice patterns around the platter. Hold this piece in the light and it looks like it glows. The age of this piece varies. The kaishu mark dates it at 1980 to present but the light blue decorations date this piece in 1937s to 1940’s. Due to WW11 there was a shortage of cobalt. It measures 10 1/4 inches long and seven and 7 1/2 inches wide. It’s in perfect condition no cracks no breaks no scratches.
